Pepper is a red leopard female that just turned two. She is a good hunting dog and with some work she can be a great hunting dog. She will go to the bay and will help catch. She's not a breeding dog (she doeen't like puppies-any puppies). She has shown well in the Chiefland Catahoula show. We were asking $500 and we just dropped it to $250...make an offer...

how much woods experience does she have, can she find her own pig already, at what range does she hunt, how is she around other dogs, looking for a dog that does not trash, can find her own hogs, and gets along with other dogs, must hunt not wanting anything that is going to stay under my feet. if she can do this i am very interested in her. she is a mighty find looking dog. call me at (706) 545-8219 daytime or (706) 575-2322 cell. thank you.

Pepper is a medium range hunting dog and has found her own hogs, but she is not the lead dog. She still needs work. She is good with other dogs, except she doesn't like pitpulls. And she's not too fond of Puppies.

you say pepper does not like pitbulls does she not like male and female pits. my catch dogs are pits i have a male and female that i use to catch with. what do you use to catch with around her that she gets along with. where in flordia are you located. i live in georgia and might would like to trial this dog to see how she does. in yards how far is med. range to you and does she check back in with you and how often. is she broke from running deer, cattle and other trash if you know.

The only time we've had problems with her and our female pits, is playing in the yard. When it's time to hunt, she's all business. We used to use our 2 year old female pit to catch with but she has retired. Now we use her 1 year old son. Pepper has not fought with the pits in the woods (she's lucky my pits don't fight!) We are located about an hour south of Gainsville. In Citrus County. How far is Medium range? Well, she'll go about 50 to 80? I think, that's a question I need to ask my husband. She does check back with you and has never gone after deer, cattle, rabbits, or any other trash except one time, "they" got an armadillo, and were broken of that, short after. Sometimes my husband has to kick all my dogs in the ass and tell the to get on! They are pets too! Here's a picture taken on the 18th of this month:

i'm sorry to ask so many questions concerning pepper but i have bought dogs before and when i've hunted them found that they hunting differently than i had been told. has pepper every found hogs by herself without another dog. she looks very good in the pictures why are you getting rid of her. you say she hunts out around 80 yards or closer. will she go out further with other dogs. will she be a dog that will require sometime to become familiar with me and my dogs before being hunted. i walk hunt my dogs and have two strike dogs that get far out in their search for hogs. i also checked distance from me to you it would be close to 350 miles to where you are at. would you have somewhere i could see how she bay and hunts. thank you again for your trouble.

[glow=red,2,300]Great News, Pepper has found a great hunting home in Tampa. I just know she will become the great hunting dog that she has the potential of being. Congrats to Mike and Robyn and have fun![/glow]
